Something about running this program makes me write fic like a woman possessed, I swear ... but really, is anyone complaining?

I wanted to be able to communicate a time setting in the story itself, but I'm not sure I've done it well enough, so allow me to explain beforehand:

This takes place approximately seven years after the end of the series. Takamura has taken the world title and is close to retirement, but not yet retired. Kimura and Aoki have both given up boxing, Kimura now working on expanding his parents' floristry business and Aoki now the owner of the ramen shop where he used to work part-time. Miyata and Ippo still fight, Ippo having taken the national title. Miyata is now in a different weight class than Ippo and working towards the national title in his own division. Manga-verse has no impact whatsoever on anything at all.

The explanation is more complicated than the story, but necessary, I think. The story itself is for sailormac. If you want to know why, you'll have to ask her.

So I'm rummaging through my Stuff (TM), and I happen across a notebook I've not used in about a year. In that notebook I find a fic. A finished fic. Fic-bit, maybe, it's kinda short.

Yet another fandom to add to my happiness. If you haven't seen this series, you should see it, it's seriously my second favorite series of all time. This is a little fic, written mostly to test out the characters, but you know me, there'll probably be more fic in this fandom in the future.
